BWCE Fund focus: High Littleton Scout Hall
High Littleton Scout Group received a BWCE Fund grant in 2025 to replace the Scout Hall’s original single glazed units with new double glazed windows.
The High Littleton Scout Group were very grateful for the BWCE Fund grant, which they used to install new windows to the hall – they’ve reported that it has been a great improvement, keeping the Old School Room warm and dry.
The group is made up of nearly 100 Scouts, Cubs and Beavers and over 20 volunteer leaders who now find the hall a lot warmer on cold evenings. The space is more welcoming and is currently being used by a number of other groups such as yoga and exercise classes.
“We love the reduction of energy consumption within the building and that the room is warmer and more welcoming to all users. The BWCE Fund grant for the new windows has enabled improvement works that would otherwise not have been possible.
It is a warmer room for all and the fabric of the room is much improved. It is anticipated that the room will be used by more people in the community as a result.”
