Bath & West Community Energy’s Home Energy service is your local, independent, not-for-profit hub for expert retrofit advice.
As a branch of BWCE, the Home Energy service helps residents across Bath and North East Somerset make their homes warmer, healthier and more energy efficient.
We offer impartial advice and practical support to guide you through the retrofit journey – from initial guidance to full project coordination.
Whether you’re just starting out or planning major improvements, we’re here to help you understand your options and make confident decisions. We also bring people together through talks, events and community activities, so you can learn from others and share your own experiences.

Our Home Energy service is currently available to residents in Bath and North East Somerset, with some support available in West Wiltshire and South Gloucestershire. If you live outside of our main area, we’ll do our best to connect you with trusted local partners who can help – just get in touch.

BWCE is proud to be partnering with Retrofit West to deliver Home Energy Efficiency Plans and Householder Journey Support, and Futureproof, part of the Centre for Sustainable Energy, for Futureproof surveys.

BWCE Home Energy is part-funded by the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero, working with the South West Net Zero Hub to deliver the Local Energy Advice Demonstrator Programme (LEAD). We’re also funded by the Energy Industry Voluntary Redress Scheme and Retrofit West.
