Sara Grimes

Director of Community Business Development & incoming Deputy MD

Sara is taking a lead on BWCE’s new business development. She started by incubating our Home Energy work to help people live in warmer, greener home and is now also supporting BWCE’s renewable energy, local supply and community engagement work.

She worked in local government for 13 years on climate initiatives for the built environment, including Bath & North East Somerset’s net zero planning policies. Prior to this she worked in the USA as a regional director of a national environmental group. She has an MSc in Environmental Policy from the University of Oxford.

Sara lives with her family in Bath. In her spare time, she is a director of Eco Together, a charity which helps small groups of people find their own power to act on the climate crisis. She also enjoys off-road running.
