INVOLVED
Local people created BWCE and made it what it is today. We would love to see more people join our community energy movement and there are a number of ways you can get involved.

Invest in BWCE to help us fund new community renewables projects and increase our collective capacity to take practical climate action.

Earn interest on your investment
Play a part in building the community energy movement locally
I first invested in BWCE, back in 2020, because I believe in what it’s doing for both the environment and as an organisation which invests in the community. Their projects and ethos are all in line with my values and beliefs, and, investing is made so easy… and of course, the return is great!

Become an Energy Champion
If you are a Bath & North East Somerset resident, you can become an Energy Champion as part of the Community Energy Network, in partnership with BANES Council, the Community Wellbeing Hub and Bath University.
Energy Champions are community volunteers who provide friendly, local energy advice and help people access grants, lower their energy bills, and improve their home’s efficiency. For more information, see the council webpage or get in touch.

Become a Heat Pump Champion
Homeowners often find it helpful to hear from others who have already installed a heat pump. If you’re a heat pump owner, we’d love for you to become a Heat Pump Champion!
You could help us by sharing your experience at events or speak to people who are considering a heat pump. Or you could host a visit to show others your heat pump in action (as part of NESTA’s ‘Visit a Heat Pump’ scheme).
If you’re interested, contact us and we’ll find a way for you to participate that works for you.
