  • Established a pipeline of over 70MW of new renewables

  • Secured over £2 million of bonds & grant for capital investment in new renewables

  • Completed the innovative Green Heritage Homes & Open Homes programmes

  • Continued to grow BWCE & its impact and Project Performance summary

  • Overall, our project portfolio performed 5.4% below target in the year April 2024 to March 2025.

  • We saw some significant outages during October/November at our largest project due to unavoidable maintenance

  • However, the most significant reason for the lower performance across our portfolio has been the 5.1% lower than average sunshine levels. These performance issues were flagged at last year’s AGM. At that time, we indicated that this year’s interest payment to members may need to be reduced.

  • The proposal to members is therefore for the year ending in March 2025, to award 5.6% interest on shares purchased before 2019, 4% interest on shares purchased after 2019, and £40,000 to the community fund.

  • Along with outlining the BWCE Business Plan for the next 5 years 2025-2030

  • The AGM supported the following resolutions with 113 members voting, including online votes;

    • Adoption of audited accounts for 2024-25 are adopted. (113 approved, 0 against, 0 abstained)

    • Proposed payment of 4% interest to members with shares issued after February 2019 for the period to March 2025 is approved.  (107 approved, 4 against, 2 abstained)
