Alex Jones

Director of Operations & Impact

Alex is Director of Operations and Impact at Bath & West Community Energy. She works across the organisation to ensure BWCE has the systems, culture and ways of working in place to deliver its community energy projects and social impact well.

She leads BWCE’s operational strategy, with a focus on people practices, systems and organisational learning, helping to ensure the organisation remains resilient, effective and values-led as it grows. A key part of her role is strengthening internal foundations and supporting long-term development and succession planning.

She is also a Trustee of the BWCE Community Fund and Children Change Colombia, and a former Non-Executive Director in the housing sector. Alongside her work, Alex is studying for an MSc in Renewable Energy: Technology and Sustainability at the University of Reading.

A Spanish speaker with a long-standing connection to Colombia, Alex brings a strong interest in social justice and community-led change to her work.
