After our successful Meet-Up at Bath City Farm we are planning further BWCE Supporters activities to take place in July, including a ‘Solar Walk’ in Bath and an online ‘Insight Session’ on our rooftop solar projects.
BWCE Supporters Meet-Up – A ‘Solar Walk’ around Widcombe &, Lyncombe
Our next BWCE Supporters Meet-Up will be a Solar Walk around parts of Widcombe & Lyncombe in Bath. Steve Cross, BWCE member and Chair of Go Green Widcombe, will be leading the walk. Steve was instrumental in developing Go Green Widcombe’s group-buy solar scheme for homeowners (as featured in a recent B&NES Community Climate Champions webinar).
The 1.5 mile circular walk from Alexandra Park, through Lyncombe and Widcombe and back again will give you an idea of solar on different types of property in the area. We will also pass through the local community run environmental project at Lyncombe Hill Fields, and there may be a little local history thrown in. We hope to end up at a local pub or cafe. Join us for a summer stroll and networking with like-minded people!
BWCE Insight session – Rooftop Solar
John Rawlins from our solar development team will be running an online ‘Insight Session’ for BWCE Members & Supporters describing how we find, choose and develop solar installations on schools, businesses and other eligible buildings. We now have a growing pipeline of rooftop installations, and this session will give you a good ‘insight’ into this aspect of our work and what to look out for if you want to help with our ‘solar roof spotting’!
Both events will take place in July – dates & times yet to be confirmed. Full details of these and future Meet-Ups and the Insight sessions will be shared with everyone who has registered as a BWCE Supporter. Please sign up if you want to get involved.
