Sarah Warren has been the Cabinet Member for Climate Emergency on Bath & North East Somerset Council since May 2019. In February 2021 Alastair Singleton, a BWCE member and a volunteer member of BWCE’s communications working group and fellow B&NES Councillor, interviewed Sarah to find out more about why she became so passionate about the climate emergency, what she hopes to achieve and what role she envisages for BWCE and its members.

It is important to note that BWCE is a non-political organisation with members representing a broad range of political opinion. We have had a co-operation agreement with B&NES Council which has been maintained and supported by different political administrations. We interviewed Sarah because her current role is a crucial one in the context of BWCE’s mission to increase renewable generation and energy demand initiatives across Bath & North East Somerset.

We would be happy to interview energy/climate spokespeople representing other political viewpoints.
