Winter wins for BWCE Home Energy

It was an incredibly busy and successful first winter ‘heating season’, where we exceeded our targets set under our Energy Redress funding:

  • 151 home energy assessments delivered to local households – 16% above the target of 130. This includes:  82 Home Energy Efficiency Plans, 25 Futureproof Surveys, 32 Heat Pump Assessments, and 9 Air Leakage Diagnostic surveys.
  • That’s over 300 hours of personalised advice given in people’s homes, 1,000 hours of analysis, and 4,000 pages of reports.
  • 27 community events and workshops reached over 1,000 local attendees, with 60+ people receiving free in-person advice.
  • Our Home Energy microsite drew 6,200 visits, and 227 people joined the Home Energy mailing list.

Our success has been supported by strong partnerships with Retrofit West, the Centre for Sustainable Energy, Transition Bath and Bath & North East Somerset Council.

What local people are saying

Customer feedback so far has been really positive:

  • Customers rated us 4.8 out of 5 on average to say they would recommend BWCE Home Energy to their friends.
  • 55% have already made home energy efficiency improvements, such as draught proofing, insulation or heating upgrades.
  • 73% are now more likely to install an energy efficiency measure thanks to our advice.

It’s a real credit to the commitment of our highly skilled team and the wider BWCE support that this has been achieved in such a short timeframe.

“I was really impressed with the service and have recommended it to others. The meeting on site was incredibly useful!”

Charlotte, Bath
