How do I apply?

To apply please complete the Expression of Interest below.

What information do I need to complete the Expression of Interest?

To complete the expression of interest you will need to have the following information to hand:

  • Your gross combined annual household income and whether anyone in your household receive any benefits, pensions or tax credits
  • Your current EPC rating (if you have one). You can find details at gov.uk/find-energy-certificate
  • Your property type, age (approx.) and construction material and whether or not it is in a conservation area / considered a listed building.
  • Your heating system (e.g. boiler, heat pump, storage heaters) and fuel (e.g. Gas, Oil, Coal, Electric)
  • Whether your windows are single, double or triple glazed and whether they were installed before or after 2002
  • The number of light fittings in your home and how many with LEDs
  • Whether there are damp/condensation issues or any repairs needed at your property.

What happens if I am considered eligible for the funding?

You cannot choose to apply for specific measures yourself, this is not how the funding works. You will need to go through the following process to decide which measures are most suitable for your home.

  1. A retrofit assessment of your home to identify which measures should be installed. This looks at building fabric, how you use your home and highlights any repairs needed before energy saving measures can be installed.
  2. A technical survey carried out by an installer to see if the recommended measures are possible to install.
  3. The creation of a retrofit plan of energy efficiency measures to be installed, including any repairs and remedial actions needed at your property plus ventilation requirements (all insulation measures need to ensure adequate ventilation to avoid unintended issues long-term).

The process is managed by Bristol City Leap.
