The project is now installed and generating clean energy
BWCE have established a partnership with Wiltshire Wildlife Trust and have built a 1MW ground mounted solar PV array at Chelworth, adjacent to WWT’s Blakehill Nature reserve. The contractor was TH White.
The project is owned by an independent community enterprise, Wiltshire Wildlife Community Energy, that will develop a number of community owned renewable energy projects on WWT and other sites. BWCE has set up a service agreement with the new community enterprise to provide development, fundraising and operational expertise and experience.
