We are proud to have won two Bath Life Awards in the Civic and Sustainability categories.

Civic: “Operating a strong community model at its foundation. BWCE’s renewables projects generate electricity to match the equivalent annual demand from just under 4,500 homes. Essential!”

Sustainability: “Such important work providing immense energy to the community. Installed large solar PV systems on nine schools and community buildings whilst greatly reducing carbon use.”

Pete Capener, Dinah Darby, Eve Aston-Davies and Joe Hurley attended the ceremony at Bath Pavilion on 23rd of March to collect our awards.

“This is a great recognition from the Bath community of our work, especially as we were up against some excellent organisations and businesses. It’s a real vindication of the approach we have taken to practical climate action and a credit to the commitment and expertise of our board and staff team. Ultimately, though, we couldn’t have achieved this without the support of all the local people who have become members and invested in us “
