John Lancaster, one of our directors, is currently helping a Marshfield community organisation to examine the options it has for developing local, community owned renewable energy projects.
In a project funded by Department of Energy and Climate Change’s LEAF, the Marshfield community has chosen various potential locations for a wind turbine and ground mounted solar and BWCE has carried out feasibility studies for those sites. Director John Lancaster says “We are also working through the options that the community has to develop these projects as part of the BWCE family with greater or lesser degrees of commitment from the community themselves. The model chosen in the end will be one which best suits the objectives and resources of Marshfield.”
